The Aspen Stand map is the result of a spatial analysis that models the location of aspen stands 2 acres and larger from satalite imagery.
The Aspen Stands 2 Acres and Larger map is a GeoPDF map. Each map includes 1:24,000 scale topographic basemap and covers the area of approximately 50 7-minute quad maps! Other vendors sell topographic maps for $1-3 for each 7-minute quad without any additional data. Considering the large geographic coverage of each map, the convenience of not having to change basemaps frequently and the added value of the aspen stand model our pricing is very competitive.
Map tiles are organized by state. Tiles that overlap neighboring states include data for the neighboring states. The model is available for Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming and Utah.
GeoPDFs can be viewed, used for general navigation and used to take waypoints with pictures and GPS tracklogs in the free AvenzaPDF app available on most smart phones.
