The Mushroom Habitat Suitability map is the result of a spatial analysis that models the quality of edible mushroom habitat based on topographic, hydrologic, land use and vegetative variables.
The Mushroom Habitat Suitability map is a GeoPDF map. Each map includes 1:24,000 scale topographic basemap and covers the area of approximately 50 7-minute quad maps! Other vendors sell topographic maps for $1-3 for each 7-minute quad without any additional data. Considering the large geographic coverage of each map, the convenience of not having to change basemaps frequently and the added value of the mushroom habitat suitability model our pricing is very competitive.
Map tiles are organized by state. Tiles that overlap neighboring states include data for the neighboring states. The model is available for the contiguous United States.
GeoPDFs can be viewed, used for general navigation and used to take waypoints with pictures and GPS tracklogs in the free AvenzaPDF app available on most smart phones.
